For fun and escape, read P.D. James. Almost anything she writes is intelligent and diverting. She does a terrific job of character development, understanding real people and their life struggle, and has a lovely romantic love story woven into the overall tapestry and artistry of a well written book. It's time we have fun reading and let go a bit of needing to "learn" all the time. (: Good learning, healing and pleasure can come from a good escapist read!
